As Staff Accountant you'll handle everything from payroll and job costing to office organization and project support. You'll work closely with ownership, project managers, and our external CPA while supporting the rest of our crew behind the scenes.&nbsp; Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage accounts receivable/payable, payroll, and bank reconciliations</li><li>Maintain the general ledger and produce financial reports</li><li>Track project budgets vs. actuals and assist with job costing analysis</li><li>Coordinate year-end with external CPAs or tax professionals</li><li>Handle subcontractor payments, lien releases, and sales tax filings</li><li>Oversee insurance audits</li><li>Ensure daily office operations run efficiently</li><li>Perform customer service and data entry tasks</li><li>Supervise and manage office staff handling administrative functions</li><li>Manage office supplies, equipment, vendor contracts, and insurance</li><li>Organize both physical and digital filing systems</li><li>Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations</li><li>Implement office policies, systems, and procedures</li><li>Assist with job setup and contract documentation</li><li>Track purchase orders, delivery receipts, and vendor invoices</li><li>Support scheduling and coordination with subcontractors and vendors</li><li>Process payroll and oversee time tracking</li><li>Assist with onboarding and maintain employee records</li><li>Ensure compliance with labour laws and handle WCB-related tasks</li></ul> Qualifications<ul><li>Degree or diploma in Accounting, Business Admin, or similar</li><li>3 to 5 (or more) years of experience in a similar role (construction experience preferred)</li><li>Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage 100 Contractor, or Foundation</li><li>Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reports, and construction finances</li><li>Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills</li><li>Tech-savvy, with strong Excel and document management experience</li><li>Clear communicator who thrives in a collaborative team environment</li><li>Ability to manage competing deadlines and keep things moving forward.</li></ul> Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Competitive salary at $60,000 to $75,000 per year, based on experience</li><li>Possible Hybrid Position&nbsp;</li><li>Paid time off and statutory holidays</li><li>Pacific Blue Cross after three months</li><li>Flexible work hours (some hybrid flexibility possible after training)</li><li>Opportunities for continued education and professional development</li><li>Supportive team environment with room to grow</li></ul> Apply TodayReady to step into a role where your skills make a difference every day?
