You'll collaborate with clients, general contractors, and internal teams to ensure our bids are accurate, timely, and aligned with our commitment to quality. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform accurate quantity takeoffs from drawings and job sites</li><li>Use tools such as PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, and Bluebeam</li><li>Identify plan discrepancies and missing info early</li><li>Estimate material, labor, overhead, and subcontractor costs</li><li>Prepare clear, professional bid packages and proposals</li><li>Stay current on local market pricing, building codes, and rating requirements</li><li>Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and clients to clarify the scope</li><li>Attend site visits or pre-bid walkthroughs as needed</li><li>Flag potential cost risks, build in contingencies</li><li>Support smooth project handoff to field teams</li><li>Manage multiple bids and deadlines with precision</li></ul> Qualifications<ul><li>Experience in estimating drywall and insulation projects (residential or commercial)</li><li>Familiarity with Canadian building codes, especially in BC</li><li>Ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents</li><li>Skilled in digital takeoff and estimating software</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>A collaborative, detail-driven mindset</li><li>Local knowledge of Nanaimo, Duncan, Courtenay, or the surrounding areas is a plus</li></ul> Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Full time position</li><li>Competitive compensation at $70,000 to $100,000, based on experience</li><li>Opportunity for hybrid or remote work for takeoff-focused estimators</li><li>Continued education and professional development are encouraged</li><li>Supportive, team-oriented culture rooted in care and integrity</li><li>Room to grow with a company that values long-term relationships</li></ul> How to ApplyIf you're ready to take your estimating career to the next level with a company that values quality, character, and community, apply now!
